Visa
- Please note that for issuance of any kind of visa your passport must be valid for at least six months.
- Visa Fee is charged per person and not per passport. If children are endorsed on the passport, additional fee will be charged.
- Visa fee once paid will not be refunded.
- Visa would only be issued to those who have either a residence permit or have registered themselves with the residence registration authority in Germany.
Types of visas and documents required
a) Tourist visa
b) Family visit visa for Pakistan origin Foreigners
c) Business visa
d) Visa for Afghan nationals and Afghan origin
e) Diplomatic and official visa.
f) Journalist visa.
a) Tourist Visa
The applicant must provide:
- Two completed visa application forms filled out in black ink and in block letters (
Visa application form). - Original passport along with one photocopy.
- Two identical passport size photographs measuring 2x1.5 inches with light blue back ground.
- Proof of residence permit in Germany to be provided by an applicant who does not hold German nationality.
- Visa fee must be deposited in the Commerz Bank, in account number 2667897, BLZ 10040000. The original Bank slip must be provided with visa application.
- Fee for single entry visa is Euro 35.
- Fee for double entry visa is Euro 45.
b) Family visit visa for Pakistan origin Foreigners:
The applicant must provide:
- Two completed visa application forms filled out in black ink and in block letters (Visa Application form).
- Original passport along with one photocopy.
- Two identical passport size photographs measuring 2x1.5 inches with light blue back ground.
- Proof of residence permit in Germany to be provided by an applicant who does not hold German nationality.
- Visa fee must be deposited in the Commerz Bank, in account number 2667897, BLZ 10040000. The original Bank slip must be provided with visa application.
- Fee for single entry visa is Euro 35.
- Fee for double entry visa is Euro 45.
- Fee for multiple entry visa for five years is calculated on the basis of Euro 50/- per year.
c) Business Visa
The applicant must provide:
- Two completed visa application forms filled out in black ink and in block letters (Visa Application form).
- Original passport along with one photocopy.
- Two identical passport size photographs measuring 2x1.5 inches with light blue back ground.
- Proof of residence permit in Germany to be provided by an applicant who does not hold German nationality.
- Visa fee must be deposited in the Commerz Bank, in account number 2667897, BLZ 10040000. The original Bank slip must be provided with visa application.
- Either an invitation letter from a Pak-based company or a supporting letter from German-based Company.
- Fee for multiple entry business visa for one year on German passport is €80/-.
d) Visa for Afghan Nationals and German nationals of Afghan origin
All Afghan nationals with residence permit for Germany are given 45 days single or double entry gratis visa. German nationals of Afghan origin also get a visa for 45 days after the payment of visa fee. Fee will be Euro 35 for a single entry visa and Euro 45 for a double entry visa.
The applicant must provide:
- Two completed visa application forms filled out in black ink and in block letters (Visa Application form).
- Two addresses of the relatives/sponsor in Pakistan.
- Original passport along with one photocopy.
- Two identical passport size photographs measuring 2x1.5 inches with light blue back ground.
- Proof of residence permit in Germany by Afghan nationals.
- Visa fee must be deposited in the Commerz Bank, in account number 2667897, BLZ 10040000. The original Bank slip must be provided with visa application.
e) Diplomatic and official visa
The applicant must provide:
- Two completed visa application forms filled out in black ink and in block letters (Visa Application form).
- Original passport along with one photocopy.
- Two identical passport size photographs measuring 2x1.5 inches with light blue back ground.
- A note verbale from the German Foreign Office/Foreign Mission concerned.
- Diplomatic and official visas are issued free of charge to those diplomats/officials who are visiting Pakistan on an official assignment or on a posting to their Missions in Pakistan.
f) Journalist visa
Media persons employed in Radio, TV, Newspapers and News Agencies and having journalistic assignments should provide the following:

Original passport along with one photocopy.
- Two identical passport size photographs measuring 2x1.5 inches with light blue back ground.
- A letter of introduction with details of the assignment in Pakistan.
- Visa fee must be deposited in the Commerz Bank, in account number 2667897, BLZ 10040000. The original Bank slip must be provided with visa application.
- Fee for single entry visa on German passport is €80/-.
